The Hotel Marina lies in a peaceful and beautiful area known as Roseto degli Abruzzi which has become an exclusive residential area, Campo a Mare. With itì's lovely beach and crystal clear sea, Roseto is an attractive little town that offers holiday makers all types of entertainment and relaxation. Some of the sport and tourist structures: * The Palace of Sport * Tennis courts (also indoor) * Skating rink * Bowling * Swimming pool * Tourist port In the centre of the town is the Arena "4 Palme" with an open air basket ball court, this game has made Roseto world famous through a summer tournament which has been going on for the last 50 years. Other attractions for visitors are the olive tree which is said to be over 500 years old and a wine barrel in the cellar of the Villa Mazzarosa De Vincenzi which contains 1000 hectolitres, thought to be the largest in Europe. Among the many attractions here probably the most important are the summer festivities (theatrical, cinematographic and musical) that are held in the whole of this area and in particular in the Villa Comunale, also home to the Civic Art Collection. NOT ONLY SEA AND BEACHES Abbruzzo is an ancient region, rich in history, art and archaeological sites (amphitheatres, monasteries, churches). Home to a rural society which has kept it's traditional patrimony intact through costumes, culture and typical festivities. It is a varied territory which stretches from the sandy coast of the Adriatic Sea to the green fields of the Maiella and on to the snows of the Gran Sasso with a warm and pleasant climate from spring to autumn. This region possesses a great culinary tradition: from “maccheroni alla chitarra” (typical pasta) to lamb kebabs and superb extra virgin olive oil to the famous wine, “Montepulciano d’Abbruzzo”.
